Axe Studies

Two axe design variants, both labeled OG at the bottom. The design notes in the margins are visible — "interesting silhouette", "layer of cutouts". The approach here was silhouette-first: get the overall shape readable from a distance before filling in internal detail. Both axes have that layered quality where the blade is built up from overlapping planes rather than being a single flat form. Ink pen.
